Jon-Christopher Bua is the co-founder and White House Correspondent and Political Analyst for Reel Political News. Jon-Christopher co-hosts the Reel Political News podcast, which is found on most streaming services, with Douglas Christian.

Jon-Christopher regularly reports live from the White House and also appears on his weekly segment “Stateside with Prof JC – Postcard From America” with Talk Radio TV Host Rob Rinder, London.

He has previously been a White House correspondent, political analyst and producer covering US Politics, the White House and Capitol Hill during the Obama Biden Administration and most recently the Trump Administration for Talk Media News, Euronews, Huffington Post UK and Sky News explaining American policy and politics to both the domestic and international audiences for over 10 years.

As a White House Correspondent, Commentator and Political Analyst Jon-Christopher attended White House Daily Briefings and Press Conferences on a regular basis. Jon-Christopher also covered the 2008, 2012, 2016 and 2020 Presidential Election Cycles including Primaries, Conventions and Election Night.

Jon-Christopher was the White House Commentator, U.S. Political Analyst and U.S. Executive Guest Producer for SKY NEWS for several years. At SKY NEWS his various live on-camera contributions included ‘Word News’ and ‘Sky News International.’ Jon-Christopher was responsible for arranging and producing over 800 major SKY NEWS U.S. guest interviews including: The “Exclusive President Barack Obama-Adam Boulton Interview from Cape Coast Castle in Ghana” – July 2009, Secretary of State Hillary Clinton on International Women’s Day 2011. During the Clinton Administration Jon-Christopher served as Communications Director at two Federal Agencies – The Small Business Administration and The Office of Personnel Management and as Managing Director for Intergovernmental and Public Affairs at The Overseas Private Investment Corporation.

Jon-Christopher also currently teaches courses on Politics & The Media at the undergraduate and graduate levels at The Catholic University of America in Washington, D.C. He previously was an Adjunct Professor at the Georgetown University School of Foreign Service BMW Center for German and European Studies for several years teaching the graduate course “Politics & The Media: An American-European Perspective.

Jon- Christopher, born in Manhattan, began his professional career in theatre and television, working as an actor, director and teacher. Since he was a boy Jon-Christopher always had a strong interest in politics, campaigned for Robert Kennedy and studied political science at university. In 1992 his love for politics and theatre came together when he volunteered to media train spokespeople for the campaign of presidential candidate Governor Bill Clinton. After Clinton’s victory he moved to Washington where he began his career in politics, public service, teaching and media coverage.

Douglas Christian

Douglas Christian is a freelance White House Correspondent, White House Radio Pooler, Videographer and Photographer. He covered the 2016 Presidential Election leading up to the Republican and Democratic Conventions, which he covered from the floor.

From 2016 through 2018, Douglas covered Capitol Hill as a multimedia journalist, working in print, radio, video and photography. From Capitol Hill, he has produced numerous audio and video reports for Talk Media News, including an audio report every weekday morning at 6 AM, entitled On the Hill. In addition, he has covered scores of congressional hearings, and dozens of rallies and protests. His work appeared in a number of national publications including the Wall Street Journal, The Guardian, and Vice News.

In early 2019, he moved over to the White House to cover President Donald Trump for radio.
As a White House Radio Pooler, Douglas rotates with nine major news outlets to cover the President. In that role, he is tasked to ask President Trump questions from the South Lawn, the Oval Office and the Cabinet Room. In addition, he has a seat in the Brady Press Briefing room during news conferences.

Leading up the 2020 Presidential Election today, Douglas co-hosts a podcast with political analyst and lecturer, Jon-Christopher Bua, Reel Political News, found on most streaming services.
Prior to his work as a multimedia journalist in Washington, DC, Douglas had a photographic studio in Boston and New York City.

Among his hundreds of commissioned projects for an array of commercial and editorial clients, he was hired by the Commonwealth of Massachusetts to photograph their entire collection of Revolutionary and Civil War battle flags. For this, he took over 600 photographs with his 4×5 camera, adhering to the strictest archival protocols, such as making sure that no UV light was exposed to the historic artifacts. Twelve of those photographs are on permanent display as 4×5-foot transparencies in the rotunda of the Massachusetts State House.

Douglas has photographed a few books on Oriental rugs; one was on Armenian Oriental rugs, another was titled Merchants, Weavers and Kings, and another, published by Rizzoli and co-authored by his uncle entitled Oriental Rugs of the Silk Route. He has also photographed an array of notable people including politicos such as William F. Buckley, Jr., George McGovern, Edward Teller and Cesar Chavez.
In addition to White House duties, Douglas currently co-hosts a podcast, Reel Political News.
